Team Coaching
Is your team’s engagement and productivity what it should be? In team coaching, I create a safe space in which you and others can surface and vocalize anything that might be getting in the way. We’ll clear the deck and build understanding. Then, we’ll define the team’s values and goals and shape the path for the future, so you all can move forward with energy, harmony, and focus.
To start, I will conduct an intake review to confirm coaching is right for your team. If your team is ready and could benefit from coaching, we will then co-create our coaching agreement. This agreement will address goals, timelines, and costs.
Team Coaching is carried out over three phases.
In this phase I will baseline where your team is today. This typically entails a one-on-one private discussion with each team member, and one or more sessions with the whole team, to identify "What's working?" and "What needs to change?" These are candid conversations focused on current, specific team behaviors. The aim is to clarify and create awareness of the impacts of team dynamics to morale, engagement, and productivity.
In this phase, I will capitalize on your team's new insights and energy. I will coach the team through creating action steps, timelines, and milestones, along with a plan for accountability. In the process, I will use powerful questioning and coaching skills to help the whole team explore and learn. I will notice team dynamics that limit progress. I will help team members notice and name their own patterns and switch to newer and more effective ways of working together. This technique will be something your team members will learn to use on their own to support change.
In this phase, I will help team members integrate their individual and team learning, identify and build upon strengths, learn from challenges, and assess progress toward their goals. We will redo initial team assessments and review team learning and successes. Finally, I will help team members celebrate their accomplishments and apply learning toward what’s next for them as individuals and as a team.
